ERASA MANDATORY REST PERIODS

Rest period commences at midnight on the day that the ride finishes as denoted by the maximum ride time allowed and finishes at midnight on the day before the published ride start time of the next ride

NOVICE HORSES  =  ERASA RULES

40km No rest period
40km   - elimination 12 days
80km  (includes the final 80km of novice phase) 12 days

ENDURANCE HORSES  - ERASA RULES

100KM - 126KM 19 DAYS
126 KM PLUS 26 DAYS

 

Remember if you have ridden and FEI  event you need to respect the FEI rest periods as well, and cannot compete in ERASA event 

FEI REST PERIODS (These will be changing from 1 January 2019 - please refer to FEI endurance rules posted on ERASA website under rules)

After competing in a FEI or National Event, a horse must be given a mandatory minimum rest perioid, as defined,  before it is eligible to participate in a National or FEI competition

0-46km 5 days
Over 45 - 86km 12 days
Over 86 - 126km 19 days
Over 126 - 146km 26 days
Over 146km 33 days

Extended rest periods  -

Irregular gait (1st incident) 14 days in addition
Irregular gait (2nd incident) 21 days in addition
Irregular gait (3rd incident) 90 days in additon
